Sam Greenberg is a Political Economy and Urban Studies student who is passionate about solving California’s housing crisis and fixing its unsustainable, auto-dependent transportation system. He believes that California has failed to adequately expand its housing supply and that it needs to invest substantially in affordable housing. He also believes that California needs to expand and improve its public transit systems significantly to create a sustainable alternative to the private automobile.

He is currently organizing for equitable and abundant housing with East Bay for Everyone and fighting for improvements for transit riders and operators as a member of the East Bay Transit Riders Union. Sam previously served as a legislative intern for Assemblymember Alex Lee and focused on transportation policy. He recently co-founded Telegraph for People, a growing student coalition fighting to make Telegraph Avenue car-free near the UC Berkeley campus.
