Esme Nuno Mora (she/her/ella) is a first-generation, low-income, third-year transfer student from Norco Community College, now studying Sociology at UC Berkeley.

As a youth advocate with John Burton Advocates for Youth, Esme works to create pathways to higher education for unaccompanied homeless youth in the K-12 system. Her advocacy is rooted in a passion for ensuring foster and homeless students have the resources and support they need to thrive.

At UC Berkeley, Esme researches the challenges faced by underrepresented youth impacted by the child welfare system. She is driven to empower others to dream big and overcome obstacles.

Esme aims to pursue a PhD and influence policies that connect foster and homeless students to the support they deserve. She's passionate about social justice and eager to collaborate with others who share her vision for equity and change.
