Department:
2025 Cal-in-Sacramento
Bio/CV:

Emily Zambrano (She/Her)

Emily Zambrano is a third year Mexican-American, first-generation student majoring in Political Science and minoring in Public Policy. Born and raised in the San Joaquin Valley to a family of proud and dedicated immigrants, Emily is passionate about a career in public service with the aim to make a difference in the lives of members of her community. Her time at UC Berkeley has nurtured a passion for advocacy, the intersection between policy and governance, and well prepared her for her time as a Cal-in-Sacramento Fellow!

Emily serves in the ASUC Office of Senator Franco as a Public Service and Pre-Professional Opportunities Associate. In her position, she, alongside her team, works to give back to the Berkeley student population by providing professional development resources that aim to demystify the path and break down the barriers to professional success for marginalized and underrepresented communities, especially.

Emily is also envolved in public service through UC Berkeley’s Mentor Collective Program, where she serves as a mentor to her matched and assigned student mentee—providing resources, advice, guidance, and tips for navigating life and cultivating success as a Golden Bear and beyond!
