Noor Alramadan

Noor Alramadan is a driven, first-generation student studying media studies with a concentration in media law and policy, and minoring in education. As the daughter of immigrant parents in a dual-heritage household, her upbringing has shaped her values toward education and advocacy. Her firsthand experience with the challenges that students from marginalized communities often face in completing higher education has driven her commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion in higher education and professional spaces. To actively contribute to this cause, at UC Berkeley, she joined the Bridges Mixed at Berkeley coalition, where she serves as the inaugural Wellness Director, in addition to the university’s largest pre-law fraternity, Phi Alpha Delta as an active member and Philanthropy Intern.

Her passion for public service is rooted in her experience as a longtime Girl Scout in San Diego, where she was involved in various community service projects since second grade. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she completed the prestigious Gold Award Project. She led virtual reading sessions to address the educational barriers English as a Second Language students faced in elementary school. She continued her involvement in educational advocacy as a volunteer in the Public Service Center’s BUILD program at Cal. She is driven to pursue a career in public service, civil law, or educational administration and looks forward to the opportunity to participate as a Cal-in-Sacramento Fellow.
