Angelo Raga (he/him)
Angelo Raga is an aspiring public servant and a fourth-year student majoring in political science. Growing up with friends disadvantaged by race and class and surrounded by talk of such increasingly prominent political issues as a rising cost of living and political polarization, he has long been interested in public service as a way to fight these issues. To those ends, he has previously worked as an intern for the Asian Pacific American Public Affairs Association and the Placer County Public Defender's Office. He also currently works as a Legal Access Intern through JusticeCorps at the Family Justice Centers of Solano and Contra Costa, where he assists self-representing litigants with drafting requests for restraining orders.
Having explored largely legal career pathways to public service, Angelo looks forward to the Cal-in-Sacramento program and interning in California's center of politics as his introduction to what government and politics have to offer in his mission to serve disadvantaged and underserved communities. After his time at UC Berkeley and with Cal-in-Sacramento, he aspires to continue pursuing this mission as a lawyer and politician championing the housing, labor, and healthcare interests of the vulnerable.
