Sherwin Ho (he/him)

My name is Sherwin Ho. I’m a senior double majoring in molecular cell biology and psychology. Slightly disillusioned with the content of my majors, I’m looking to explore as many career paths as possible, with my current interests leading me towards public health in the mental health sector. Through working at mental health institutions, I hope to act on my fundamental desire to address societal problems that I have seen in my life, such as homelessness and a lack of mental health support at K-12 schools. I would be able to bring greater awareness to mental health and improve the reach and accessibility of mental health resources. With the opportunity provided to me by Democracy Camp, I seek to better understand the logistics behind mental health and education related policymaking in order to see whether a career in public health would be right for me.
